Jehoshabeath Helton, LMHC

As a licensed mental health counselor, I’m here to offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can bring your whole self—your struggles, your fears, and your hopes. I know that each person’s journey is unique and deeply valuable, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside you as you navigate the challenges in your life.

I specialize in working with individuals facing depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem issues, stress, processing early childhood trauma and the seeking meaning and purpose. My dedication to this work comes not only from my professional training but also from a genuine understanding of how complex and difficult life can be. I know it takes courage to reach out and begin the healing process, and I’m committed to supporting you every step of the way.

In my work, I blend various therapeutic approaches to create a supportive experience tailored to your needs. I often draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques to help you connect with and nurture different parts of yourself. Through a strength-based cognitive-behavioral approach, I encourage you to see and build on your inner strengths, empowering you to face life’s challenges with resilience. Mindfulness practices are also central to my approach, offering ways to be present, kind to yourself, and aware of your experiences.I also incorporate expressive arts, including art, poetry, and music, as a pathway for healing. Sometimes, creative expression can help release emotions and thoughts that feel difficult to put into words, and I find that these modalities can open up new avenues for growth and self-understanding.

For those who wish to bring spirituality into their healing process, I offer spiritual counseling as well. I know that faith and spirituality can be powerful sources of comfort and strength, and I’m here to provide a safe space for you to explore and integrate those beliefs as we work together.

My goal is not only to provide tools and techniques but to be a supportive presence in your life. I want you to feel seen, heard, and valued as you take steps toward healing from past and present hurts. Together, we’ll work to help you reclaim your life, build resilience, and discover the hope and peace you deserve.
